Ho Hum....

So this Holiday weekend was pretty uneventful for the most part. Not that I'm complaining, I kind of enjoyed it. I vacuumed and did a couple of loads of laundry on Friday. I also went to Walmart with the kids and picked up Punkins birthday presents that I ordered site-to-store a few weeks ago. After that we went to Wendy's and grabbed some lunch and headed to my all time favorite, Lomond View Park. We ate lunch and then Punkin played with some of the other kids at the playground while I read and Peanut slept (for a minute). It was a beautiful day and so relaxing. Those are the days that make me want to quit working outside of the home. Saturday morning my mom and I went to Ikea to get the last of Punkins birthday presents (an easel). I hadn't ever been there and I'll tell you what, it was fantastic. I love to browse. I don't like to say that I love to shop because then you would get the impression that I shop a lot and that's all I ever do with my free time. Oh contraire, I browse and look at all of the things that I would like to buy and considering I've been wanting to go to Ikea since it's opening over a year ago that would tell you what I don't do in my spare time. Anyway, my mom and her friend had gone last year around Christmas time and so she showed me the ropes. You must follow the arrows otherwise you get turned around and end up back where you started. This place is ginormous to say the least but well worth the trip. I've made a mental list of the things that I will buy sometime in the future, mostly for the future play room. Most of the designs are very modern and small scale which doesn't fit with my taste, but there are certainly alot of things that I could work with.
Sunday my husband spent the entire day redoing our deck that he originally did last year (long story, don't ask) just in time for the torrential rainstorm that just finally let up a couple of hours ago. Good job Honey!! Today, I just hung out watching Unwrapped on the Food Network, played with the girls, read my Parents magazine, and just relaxed. So all in all a great uneventful weekend.
