Today we went to the Dr. for Peanuts One year well child check. First of all, nobody told me that they can't do one year immunizations until they are exactly one year. So even though her birthday is in two days, I have to go back in on Monday to get her shots. It has something to do with the government regulations and the schools. So we just had her weighed and the regular check up stuff. She eats like a horse normally, but to no avail, she's still not gaining weight. She's been in the 2% in weight since she was six months old and we have tried and tried to feed her more whenever possible to fatten her up. This visit she dropped off the scale. In the last three months she's only gained 1 lb. 5 oz. (that puts her at 16 lbs. 12 oz.) but she's grown 2 full in (she's at 30 in.). She's now in the 76% in length. So the Dr. now has us Power Packing. What is power packing you may ask. Well I'll tell you, power packing is increasing calorie and protein content of food without increasing the amount. He suggests that we give her whole milk with carnation instant breakfast on top of her usual meals so we'll see how that works. As for everything else she's doing great.
