She also got her face painted, she loved that. We weren't sure if she would hold still, but I guess she wanted it bad enough.
Afterwards we went to Walmart to get a few items including a new pool. We had a really nice big pool last year, but the stray cats in the neighborhood kept walking on the side of it, which in turn kept deflating it. Dallas realized after we bought it that it was also way to big to manage. So this year we went smaller and more realistic. We ended up finding a pool at Rite Aide and we hit the firework stand in the parking lot. So after we went home, we put the kids down for a nap and then barbecued and had ice cream sandwiches. Punkin discovered the pool in the backyard, so Dallas threw a couple buckets full of hot water into to warm it up.

It still didn't do much and she was shivering, but we couldn't get her out. We had to bribe her out of the pool with candy and fireworks. We went out to the front to do our little fireworks, and surprisingly they scared the crap out of her. We ended up having to drag her out to the backyard later to watch Weber Highs fireworks, which after the fact she decided was pretty cool. All in all it was a great day.Side note, we've had a terrible accident in our family. A very dear part of our family has been pretty banged up, the momma Mustang. But with a little TLC we are sure that she'll pull through.
My mom is o.k., just bummed that her perfect driving record and her beloved Mustang are marred.
