Track Santa on Norad

I know this may be a little late, but I kinda just discovered it. So for those of you who sit at your computer just waiting for my next post, this might be fun for you and the kiddies tonight. If anything else it's somewhat educational. Click here to track Santa.

Witch-a-palooza

Last night for our monthly girls night we went to Witch-a-palooza at Gardner Village. We went last year and it was then decided that it would be a yearly tradition. I've never really gotten into the Halloween spirit but after these shows I can't help it. Some people go decked out dressed as witches of course. They really like to get the audience involved as well. This year was hilarious. The story line was based on the Warlocks romantic past. It started back in the 1800's then all they way to the 90's. It was great, they sang songs from the 50's, 60's, etc. with a twist to the lyrics. The funniest is when they got to the eighties, a Madonna like witch came out with cones on her chest singing "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". For the 70's, they sang YMCA and got four of the whole ten men who were drug to the show by their wives to be the Village People. That was a riot. I highly recommend anyone to go next year but get your tickets quick because they sell out fast. Here are the pictures of our fun night.

What a Great Day!

Punkins Birthday was so much fun. We had lots of family come to celebrate with us. It was a beautiful day so we were able to enjoy her birthday outside. She made out like a bandit and was spoiled as usual. Now Dallas and I have more motivation to get the playroom put together, because the toys are taking over. Not because she has too many, they are all just big, as you'll see. Punkin and Dad saying "I'm Three".
Laughing at her singing card from Uncle Blake and Aunt Devin.

The "huge" Princess Tent from Grandma and Grandpa.
She loves her new easel from Mommy and Daddy. Another Big Toy.

The Care Bear Cake.
Her new vacuum from Great Grandma B.
The Princess Tent taking up half her room. It's so big her kitchen fit inside of it. It will be moving to the playroom when it's ready. And her chair fits on the "porch". It is really cute.
I just had to share this cheesy Peanut smile. Can you see her first ponytail?

Thanks to everyone who was able to come and share the big # 3 with us!!

The Circus!!!

Today Punkin and I went to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Baileys Circus. Dallas' mom had asked if she could take Punkin, but knowing what crazy parents we are she new that we wouldn't let her go. Now before you freak, the reason is this. She's our kid, we want to see and be a part of all of her firsts of everything. So she invited one of us to go along, and Dallas graciously offered it to me. I was more than obliged, and we had so much fun. Our cute little niece also got to go as well. The opening act did upset Punkin a little. If you have read one of my posts in July, you might remember me mentioning how frightened she was of fireworks. Well, that's what the opening included. So I spent the first ten to fifteen minutes trying to calm her and convince her that she'd be o.k. The rest of the show was fabulous. Here are some pictures from the show, mind you they stink because they are from my cell phone because I'm a loser mom who forgot the camera. My mother-in-law remembered hers so if I get some copies of those I'll post them sometime too.

Punkin covering her eyes and her ears.

Yes her eyes are closed, she can't say "cheese" with out closing her eyes.

A very unprofessional photo of my mother-in-law and cute little niece.

  • These are the photos from my mother-in-law.

Don't they look cute?

What a Day!

I hope you all had a great 4th. We had a lot of fun. We went to North Ogdens Cherry Days. They had a lot of fun booths but the hit for Punkin was the kids corner. The hit for me is was the cotton candy. Punkin played all kinds of games and won lots of little prizes. Peanut had as much fun as a 5 month old can have.

She also got her face painted, she loved that. We weren't sure if she would hold still, but I guess she wanted it bad enough.
Afterwards we went to Walmart to get a few items including a new pool. We had a really nice big pool last year, but the stray cats in the neighborhood kept walking on the side of it, which in turn kept deflating it. Dallas realized after we bought it that it was also way to big to manage. So this year we went smaller and more realistic. We ended up finding a pool at Rite Aide and we hit the firework stand in the parking lot. So after we went home, we put the kids down for a nap and then barbecued and had ice cream sandwiches. Punkin discovered the pool in the backyard, so Dallas threw a couple buckets full of hot water into to warm it up.

It still didn't do much and she was shivering, but we couldn't get her out. We had to bribe her out of the pool with candy and fireworks. We went out to the front to do our little fireworks, and surprisingly they scared the crap out of her. We ended up having to drag her out to the backyard later to watch Weber Highs fireworks, which after the fact she decided was pretty cool. All in all it was a great day.

Side note, we've had a terrible accident in our family. A very dear part of our family has been pretty banged up, the momma Mustang. But with a little TLC we are sure that she'll pull through. My mom is o.k., just bummed that her perfect driving record and her beloved Mustang are marred.

Peanut's First Camping Trip.

So we made it. We had a great time down in Marysvale, UT. For those who don't know where it is it's about 30 miles south of Richfield. It has a great ATV trail system known as the Piute Trail. We went last fathers day weekend and had a blast. This year I didn't get to go out much on the rides because of the 4 month old Peanut. We still had fun and I rather enjoyed just hanging out back at camp with my Grandma. As you can see in the photos Punkin really loves the dirt in more ways than one. She had a bath every night in my parents trailer in the Punkin sized tub and left evidence of a hard day playing in the dirt, or as she called it "cleaning". We stayed in a cabin this year so that made it pretty easy to deal with the kids. Dallas got to do a bit of fishing, didn't catch anything but he enjoyed it anyway. I'm hoping that we can maybe make this a yearly destination for fathers day weekend. Maybe next year we'll all get out to play on the toys with Peanut being a bit older. All in all, it was really fun. I love being with my family doing what we grew up doing and I hope that I can give my kids the same experiences that I had.
