Week in Review: 4

I hate to do a repeat of last week, but work, work, and work.

Although, Monday we got a three hour training on our new Dexis digital radiography system and it is muey bueno. Tuesday was just the usual work day. But Wednesday was phenomenal. For Christmas Dr. Davidson gave all of us a gift certificate for Hot Stone Massages at a local spa, which we used on our three hour lunch on Wednesday. I get massages quite regularly, but I've never experienced one with screaming hot stones. Ok, maybe not screaming hot, but just hot enough to make you wince, but only for a second. It was AMAZING!!! I highly recommend.
Thursday we had the usual day, the girls learned the new dance routine in preparation for the recital in May. I was really surprised with how well Peanut was doing. She gets really excited and sometimes just likes to run around like a crazy monkey, but she actually paid attention.
Friday was work again, and it was probably one of the most busy Fridays I've had in a long time, so it went by fast. We were supposed to hang out with a friend visiting from out of town but Peanut had come down with a fever and our friend was sick as well. Saturday we started out early and went and got new tires for my care (uuuggghhh). Worst $700 I've ever spent! It's one of those necessary evils, but now maybe it won't be like driving an ice skate in the snow. Then we picked up our fruits and veggies from the co-op and I went and got groceries with Punkin and after shared a special treat at Spoon Me. I love hanging out with just her sometimes. I gets me excited for when they are both a little older and we get to go shopping and do girl stuff.
Sunday we plan to visit my grandma at the new assisted living home. Hopefully Peanut will be feeling better by then.

Week in Review: 3

Work, work, stressful 8 hour meeting/seminar, work, and work.  We had a practice consultant come into the office and he blew our minds. We learned a lot about DISC. I really don't know how to explain it because it's pretty detailed. I just know that I'm an I,D,C in that order. He has also introduced a few new things that will change in our office that will make us not only more productive but better able to serve our patients.

I got my nails done on Friday for the last time by Ashley because she will soon be the mother of twins. Then I spent a few hours helping my mom and uncle unpack my Gma in her new home. It was nice to see her in a bigger space with some of her own things.
That evening D and I went to dinner and then to a meeting. It was a really nice night. It's amazing how just a few hours away with my one and only can make everything seem so much better. We don't get out alone near as much as I'd like.

We had game night at my brother and sister-in-laws on Saturday with my mother-in-law. We played Scribblish, again, the funniest game by far.

Sunday we just spent at home hanging out and watching t.v.

Week in Review: 2

I'm a week late starting my week in review but I'm a firm believer in better late than never. Ok, not really. But I'll use any excuse that fits.

-First full week back to work, it was brutal. I could get used to working only three days a week.

-Peanut started dance with her sister at The Movement Dance Center.

Stretches

Working on those splits

Getting a little help from Ricci

Practicing a chaîné turn.

Learning how to point her toes. Punkin was really in to helping her and encouraging her the whole time. She's such a great big sister.
-Punkins first cold sore of the year. I wish I knew why she get's these awful things and always in the same place. I've never had one and D rarely gets them but she seems to get them at least 3-4 times a year. I know it hurts and she's very self conscious. Poor thing. :(

-Finally getting around to taking down the Christmas decorations.

-D was nominated and appointed Vice President at Valley Camp. Life has certainly come full circle for him. I'm very proud of him and all that he has accomplished this last year.
